ACS envelopes will be available again next Sunday, 25 June, to support this charity which helps fund assistant staff for poor parishes.  We have an excellent and long-standing record of giving to ACS, so please continue to be generous.

COACH BOOKINGS OPEN

Please sign up for two further excursions.  First, for our annual trip to St Albans on Saturday 5 August when we join a festival mass in the cathedral with Bishop Norman and eat our picnic lunch in his garden.  Second, for the Walsingham festival at Chichester Cathedral on Saturday 14 October.  The cost for each trip is £12 per adult but for those who book and pay for both excursions, a £20 combined fare will apply.  17s and under can travel at £3 per trip.  Please book early!

CONFIRMATION ON 14 JULY AT 7.30PM

Candidates, both adult and younger, are asked to indicate today that they will be able to be present (or not) via the sheet in the porch at Holy Trinity.  All members of the congregations are asked to note the arrangements and be there on the night.  We look forward to seeing Bishop Norman once again in the parish that evening.  Those who have been confirmed by him in recent years might especially want to be present.  Fr Martyn asks that all candidates be at the rehearsal NEXT SUNDAY evening at Holy Trinity at 7pm if at all possible.  Thank you.

GRACEWELL VOLUNTEERS

Could you offer to befriend some residents at our local care home?  Some get very infrequent visits and would appreciate an hour or so every now and then when someone would come to chat or read to them.  If you think you could help in this way, please let Fr Martyn know and he will be pleased to refer you to the Activities team.  Apart from a free DBS check and some basic training in health and safety, no experience is required.  Do consider this.

WEEKDAY MASSES AND SUNDAY BENEDICTION

Would you consider attending one or more of the masses offered in addition to the Sunday celebration?  Or augmenting the congregation on Sunday evening?  You’d be most welcome at either – or both!  Give them a try.

Special note: The Wednesday and Thursday masses this week will be covered by visiting clergy who have agreed to give up their time to be with us.  It would be such a shame if these services were sparsely attended.

EXPOSITION

The 7.30pm mass on Wednesdays at Holy Trinity is usually preceded by a period of Adoration as the Blessed Sacrament is exposed on the Resurrection Chapel altar from 7pm. Come right into the chapel at any time or pray from the chairs in the aisle.
