CONDOLENCES RECEIVED

Bishop Lindsay sends his prayers to the parish (he has of course sent them to the family). He was Bishop of Horsham from 1993 - 2009 and visited the parish on a number of occasions and conducted Confirmations.  From 2009 - 2015 he was Administrator at The Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham.

Fr Kevin Smith, Administrator at The Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, extends to the parish his deepest sympathy and the assurance of his prayers and those of the Shrine for us all at this time. A 7-day candle burns for Fr Martyn and for the parish in the Holy House and he will renew that votive each week until we go on pilgrimage.
Fr Ivor and Margaret send us their thoughts and prayers for the parish and that they will continue to remember Fr Martyn and all of us in their prayers.

GRACEWELL VOLUNTEERS

Could you offer to befriend some residents at our local care home?  Some get very infrequent visits and would appreciate an hour or so every now and then when someone would come to chat or read to them.  If you think you could help in this way, please let one of the churchwardens know and they will be pleased to refer you to the Activities team.  Apart from a free DBS check and some basic training in health and safety, no experience is required.  Do consider this.
