RINGING THE BELLS AT HOLY TRINITY

Thursday 26th October from 10am to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of a Hawley ringer, Private Walter Leslie Ball aged 19 who was killed during the First World War.

HOLLY FAIR - Saturday 18th November, Trinity Hall 11.30am-2.30pm.

From today, there are boxes in both church porches to receive your donations for Holly Fair. Items can also be given to the relevant stall holder or to Diane Brown or Rachael Robertson by Sunday 12th November – thank you!

Raffle – this year’s raffle prizes will be seasonally themed hampers – a list of requested items can be found on the noticeboards. Please cross off items you wish to donate and leave them in the boxes.

Chocolate Tombola – Jim Rapley – chocolate items (bars, biscuits, boxes, packets etc!).

Gift Tombola – Anne Leppard – new items please.

White Christmas – Diane Brown – items for the home with a white theme.

Cakes – Jackie Davies and Jan Reed – offers of cakes and baked items to be brought on the Saturday morning.

GUILDFORD MUSIC SOCIETY

Thurs 2nd Nov 7.30pm at Holy Trinity. (A list is available in both churches. Please place a tick against the name of your loved ones and include any omissions, in capital letters please, as we are unable to obtain last year’s list, please also put the date and month of death if known.) The last date for ticking/adding names is Sunday 29th October.

CHRISTMAS ANGELS PROJECT

We are joining this project together with St Augustine's, Aldershot and other local churches. Knitted angels are 'hidden' near local schools for the children to 'find' on their way to school in the mornings before Christmas. Each angel has a Christmas message. More information and a 'Knit In', Saturday 21 October, North Camp Methodist Church 9.30 - 12noon.  Janet Murton has the knitting pattern.
