CHRISTMAS CARDS

Obviously the choice is yours. There are, of course, a lot of deserving causes who could benefit from this decision.

MUSICAL CHANGES

During our anticipation and preparation for the birth of Christ (Advent) we adopt a slightly more thoughtful and sombre musical stance. We sing a Greek Kyrie instead of an English version and omit the Gloria; have no voluntaries either end of the services; and have a simple set of Advent Alleluias in place of the gradual.

INTERREGNUM UPDATE 2

The Churchwardens met the Archdeacon on 20th November and presented the Parish Profile. Statements from the Bishop of Guildford, the Bishop of Richborough and the Deanery Statement will need to be added before we can proceed any further. The present Archdeacon is moving on so we will have a new Archdeacon in place by the middle of December. Once he has got to grips with the job and the Advent Season has passed we expect progress to be made on our quest for a new Vicar. Expect further updates early next year.  Mike Gunston (Vice-chair HGPCC)
